How to Cancel a Subscription Billed by Google Play

If you signed up for a service inside an app on an Android phone or tablet, Google Play may be the company that bills you. Then you cancel in your Google Play subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
Cancel on an Android phone or tablet
- Go to subscriptions in Google Play.
- Select the subscription you want to cancel.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
- Follow the instructions.
Cancel on a computer
- Go to subscriptions in Google Play.
- Next to the subscription, click Manage.
- Click Cancel subscription, select a reason, then click Continue.
What happens after you cancel
You can keep using the subscription for the time you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged again. For example, if you cancel a yearly subscription halfway through, you keep access until the end of that year.
Pausing instead
Some apps let you pause payments: go to your subscriptions, select the subscription, click Manage, then Pause payments and choose how long.
Can’t find the subscription?
It may be on a different Google account. Switch accounts in Google Play and check again.
Refunds
Google says it may give refunds for some Google Play purchases under its refund policies, and that contacting the app’s developer is often the quickest way to resolve a problem. If you see a charge you didn’t authorize, Google asks you to report it within 120 days of the transaction.
