How to Cancel Microsoft 365

Quick answer

Go to account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365, sign in, select Cancel subscription (it may say "Upgrade or Cancel"), review the details and choose I don't want my subscription. If you bought it through Apple, Google Play or a retailer, contact them instead.

Before you cancel

  • After your subscription ends, your cloud storage drops to 5 GB (shared by OneDrive and Outlook.com attachments), plus 15 GB for Outlook.com email only.
  • If you're over those limits: you can't upload, edit or sync to OneDrive, and Outlook.com stops sending and receiving email. After 6 months, OneDrive files may be deleted.
  • Move or back up files first if you use more than the free storage.

If you bought Microsoft 365 through Apple, Google Play or a retailer (such as Amazon), contact that company, not Microsoft.

I see "Turn on recurring billing" instead of a cancel option

Microsoft says this means your subscription is already set to expire on the date shown, so it won't renew.

You may have bought it through Apple, Google Play or a retailer. Cancel with that company.
