Before you cancel

  • Cancel before your renewal billing date to allow time for processing. Annual plans may be billed up to 35 days before they expire.
  • Bundles: if you have a LifeLock and/or Norton bundle, you can cancel one part or the whole package. If you cancel one part, your other subscriptions may remain, and your renewal price will be affected.
  • If you cancel and/or get a refund, your account may be closed when the paid period ends.
  • If you cancel a Norton offering, LifeLock's policy says you agree to uninstall and delete the software from your devices.

How to cancel LifeLock

Submit a cancellation request online

  1. Open LifeLock's cancellation request page in the member portal (linked from LifeLock's Cancellation and Refund Policy).
  2. Submit your request to cancel.

Contact Member Services & Support

  1. Contact LifeLock's Member Services & Support (by phone or live chat) through Norton's official support contact page.
  2. Ask to cancel, and to request a refund if you're eligible.

LifeLock says contacting it is the fastest way to request a cancellation and refund. We don't list a phone number for canceling because LifeLock's pages don't name one for that purpose.

Billed by someone else?

Important

If you bought LifeLock through an app store, a service provider or a retailer, your cancellation and refund eligibility may be different.

  • Check with the company you bought it from or that bills you.

Common problems

I canceled but was still charged a renewal

LifeLock says to cancel before the renewal billing date to allow for processing, and if you're still renewed, to contact it for help with a refund.

Refunds and your final bill

  • Annual memberships: 60-day Money Back Guarantee from the date of purchase. Each annual renewal can be refunded if requested within 60 days of being charged (limited to the current term).
  • Monthly memberships: eligible for a refund if requested within 14 days of purchase.
  • Free protection from a data breach: if you got free identity protection from a company that had a breach after enrolling in LifeLock, you can cancel and request a pro-rated refund of the days left in your term.
  • Shipping, handling and tax usually aren't refundable (some states and countries differ).

Make sure it worked

  • Keep the confirmation email, a screenshot of the confirmation screen, or any reference number.
  • Check your next card or bank statement to confirm the charge has stopped.
